Wk6- Lecture Reveiw- ARUP ENG.

The work of ARUP Engineering really pronounces structual design. Arup brings together broad-minded concepts and encourages them to look beyond the constraints of their own specialisms. I found the technical approch to their architecture and engineering to be extreamly inspiring and can relate the rendering techniques to the ones put forward through our course.

Research Question

My Research Question is aimed towards establishing the prefered method of modelling between Google Sketckup as opposed to 3D Studio Max. The research will demonstrade developing a simplistic model and interacting to define which program has a much more practical and productive interface.

Creating a Realistic Environment

Creating a realistic environment for Town Hall Station and the Instalation needs to relate to one and other. Selected for the environment is a quiet barron landscape which will allow imediate attention to be drawn from Town Hall Station and the Installation. The time is set just prior to sunrise as this experiment will be focused on "The Morning After".

Explosion 3

For explosion 3 I was experimenting the results of exploding an object on the peak of a hill to veiw weather the exploded parts colapse and progress down the hill as they should. I didnt believe this would work very well but to my suprise the effects were extreamly realistic.

Explosion 2

For explosion 2 I was eager to discover if crysis would take additional substances into consideration such as a truck with petrol. I thought the truck would only bolw up the degree of the initial explosion. Take notice after the first explosion there is another which is the extra petrol being ignited.

Explosion 1

This frist explosion is to explore the graphics and processes of crysis when exploding an object. I decided to explode a village in which i was extreamly impressed with the initial effects and rendering of the scene.

Hypothesis for the effect of an Explosions- Crysis

All the explosions conducted display extreamly good graphics. I was very impressed at a high level of detail and the actual effect of the explosion. The real time crysis environment is extreamly similar to real life. I did not expect for the building and objects to behave in the manner they did it was extreamly realistic. I feel the crysis engine is a surpurb way of demonstrating porosity explosions.

I have created an environment with a fairly bland landscape to not distract attention from the platform or demonstrations of porosity explosions.
